How Ongoing Squarespace SEO Helped Riverwalk Grow Traffic 123%
For years, Liz Morrisroe had been helping clients move through stress, anxiety, negative habits, and major life transitions through hypnosis and life coaching.
She had experience. She had a clear purpose. She had clients who valued her work.
Her website was receiving limited traffic and producing few consistent inquiries.
When Riverwalk Coaching and Hypnosis began working with Known Creative, our goal was to create a stronger digital foundation for Liz’s business. We wanted to help more people discover her work, understand the services she offered, and feel confident taking the next step.
Over the following 18 months, our work expanded across Riverwalk’s website, search presence, content, ecommerce, and social media.
The results included:
123% year-over-year growth in website visits
119% year-over-year growth in unique visitors
99% year-over-year growth in pageviews
Regular contact form submissions and new client inquiries
Visibility for valuable local search terms
A Facebook audience that grew from zero to more than 1,000 followers
Riverwalk’s first physical product and ecommerce shop
A modernized Squarespace 7.1 website built with Fluid Engine

““I just wanted to tell you: something is happening! I’m just getting so excited. I’m literally waking up every day (not every day, a few times a week) and I have 1 or 2 submissions. Every week I’m getting new submissions which is so exciting. I’m just over the moon. You’re doing a wonderful job and I’m just so grateful.””
The Starting Point: A Strong Practice With Limited Website Visibility
Riverwalk Coaching and Hypnosis serves clients from its Providence, Rhode Island office and through virtual sessions. Liz offers hypnosis, life coaching, and Light Your Way, a program that combines coaching, hypnosis, and practical tools for people experiencing stress, anxiety, and life transitions.
The business already had a Squarespace website when we started working together. The site needed a clearer structure, a modern design system, stronger local search signals, and more intentional paths from a visitor’s first impression to a consultation request.
This is a common situation for therapists, coaches, and wellness professionals. Their reputation may be growing through referrals while their website remains difficult to find through Google.
We approached the work as an ongoing growth process, focusing on the areas with the greatest opportunity each month.
Modernizing the Squarespace Website
Riverwalk’s original website was built on Squarespace 7.0. We upgraded the site to Squarespace 7.1 and introduced Fluid Engine, giving us greater control over page layouts and mobile presentation.
We also redesigned core elements throughout the website to create a more consistent experience.
Search visibility grows through a collection of focused improvements. We reviewed Riverwalk’s individual pages and refined them around the language potential clients were already using when they searched for help.
Our work included:
Identifying locally relevant search terms
Strengthening page titles and descriptions
Clarifying page headings
Expanding service content
Improving calls to action
Connecting related pages through internal links
Helping Google discover and index updated content
Aligning pages with specific client questions and search intentions
Each page received a clearer purpose.
The hypnosis page could focus on people actively researching hypnosis. The life coaching page could speak to people searching for a coach in Rhode Island. The Light Your Way page could explain Liz’s signature process and give visitors a clear path toward a consultation.
Today, Riverwalk has dedicated pages for its core services, a growing educational blog, testimonials, scheduling, and contact information.
Building Visibility for High-Intent Searches
The search keyword data shows that people are finding Riverwalk through both branded searches and service-based searches.
Some of the terms appearing in Riverwalk’s analytics include:
“hypnosis Rhode Island”
“hypnosis near me”
“life coach Rhode Island”
“hypnotists near me”
“hypnotist near me”
“hypnosis RI”
“hypnosis for weight loss near me”
“weight loss hypnosis near me”
“hypnosis therapy near me”
These phrases reflect active interest. Someone searching for “hypnosis near me” or “life coach Rhode Island” is already exploring a service and looking for a provider.
Showing up for those searches puts Riverwalk in front of prospective clients at an important point in their decision-making process.
Creating Content Around Real Client Questions
We also developed blog content around topics connected to Liz’s services and the concerns her clients bring to her.
The current Riverwalk blog includes content about stress, anxiety, burnout, feeling stuck, holiday pressure, and the Light Your Way program.
This content serves several purposes:
It gives search engines more context about Riverwalk’s expertise.
It creates additional opportunities to appear in search results.
It answers questions prospective clients may have before reaching out.
It gives Liz useful material to share through email and social media.
It helps visitors become familiar with Liz’s voice and approach.
For personal services, trust begins well before someone schedules an appointment. Educational content gives prospective clients a comfortable way to learn about a provider before starting a conversation.
The Website Traffic Results
At the time of the April 30, 2026 Squarespace Analytics snapshot, Riverwalk’s website had generated:
4,526 total visits
3,500 unique visitors
8,300 pageviews
Squarespace reported the following year-over-year increases:
Visits increased 123%
Unique visitors increased 119%
Pageviews increased 99%
The monthly traffic graph also shows a clear upward pattern, with the highest recorded month appearing at the end of the reporting period.
These gains developed over time as pages were updated, content was added, Google visibility improved, and more people became familiar with the Riverwalk brand.
